The idea for ChangeUp was born out of necessity in 2015. Like many ocean lovers, I found myself struggling in parking lots and parallel parking spots, trying to change out of my wetsuit without putting on a show for the world. It was an awkward, frustrating ritual—one that needed a better solution.
The first prototype was nothing fancy—just a cheap microfiber towel and a DIY grommet kit from Amazon. But when I realized those grommets were the perfect anchor points to keep my towel in place on the sand, something clicked. This wasn’t just a changing towel. It was a multi-functional game-changer—a towel, an anchored beach blanket, and a stress-free way to change all in one.
Fast forward 10 years, and that scrappy prototype has evolved into the ChangeUp you see today. Designed for surfers, beachgoers, and adventurers alike, it's a product built from experience, crafted with quality, and made to make your time by the water even better.
